Watch out VW Golf: this is the new Ford Focus that’s been unveiled by Ford ahead of the 2014 Geneva motor show. Gone is the bluff, snouty front end of the current car and in its place are sleeker, narrower front and rear lights, a new bonnet, bumpers and a new grille. Yet it lacks the awkward, guppy-like stance of the Fiesta, which was given its new Aston Martin-esque grille in late 2012, and is a much more sophisticated looking car.
The new VW Touareg starts at £38,225 in the UK
We got the reveal of Volkswagen’s big off-roader - the VW Touareg - in the run up to the Geneva Motor Show back in February, but it’s taken the intervening months for VW to get their act together enough to get UK prices to us and model details. But now they have. Prices kick off at £38,225 for the Touareg SE 3.0-litre TDI 240 PS whilst the hybrid model costs s very un-green £54,995, just £1,500 less than the Altitude V8 4.2.
The Kia Sedona tops the list, with the Mazda 5, the Ford Escape and the Hyundai Santa Fe right behind. No, it's not the “top cars least likely to be bought by enthusiasts” list, although it would fit. It's the list of the least expensive cars to insure.
